We disconnect and remove the old condensing unit and air handler, pull permits where required, braze new line-set connections, pressure-test the refrigerant circuit with nitrogen, then evacuate and charge the new system to manufacturer spec. Coil and furnace replacement can be bundled into a single visit to minimize disruption.
A full seasonal tune-up covers coil cleaning with foaming coil cleaner and rinse, checking capacitors and contactors for wear, measuring static pressure and airflow, inspecting the drain pan and condensate line, and verifying refrigerant charge with digital gauges — catching small problems before Las Vegas summer heat forces a breakdown.
We connect digital manifold gauges to measure system pressures, calculate superheat and subcooling, and add refrigerant to bring the system to the correct operating charge. If a leak is suspected, we perform an electronic leak search and present repair options before adding refrigerant to an open system.
Capacitors and contactors are the most common single-component failures in desert climates. We test the capacitor's microfarad rating and check the contactor's pitting and coil resistance, then swap failed parts on the spot — typically restoring cooling the same visit without requiring a full diagnostic call-back.
We inspect the heat exchanger for cracks, test igniter resistance and flame-sensor microamps, verify gas valve operation and pressure, and check the flue and venting for proper draft. In Las Vegas winters, a no-heat call is often traced to a failed igniter or tripped limit switch, both serviceable in a single visit.
A leaking or restricted evaporator coil kills system efficiency and can flood the air handler. We recover remaining refrigerant, cut out the old coil, braze in a new factory-matched coil, pressure-test with nitrogen, pull a deep vacuum, then recharge the system — restoring full capacity and airflow.
